Hope Haven is engaging in ongoing efforts to address the root causes of sexual abuse and rape in our community. We have joined hands with two other local agencies, CODA (Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse) and CAPA (Child Abuse Prevention Association), and the national organization Men Can Stop Rape, to start up local chapters of the Men of Strength (MOST) Clubs in local middle and high schools.
Employing a 16-week curriculum heralded by the National Crime Prevention Council as one of our nation's most promising strategies to prevent domestic crimes, MOST Club inspires male young adults to build and embrace individualized definitions of manhood in ways that promote health, safety, and equality for all young men and women.
We also offer a variety of age-appropriate community awareness educational programs, including the Stewards of Children program. These programs help adults and children increase their abilities to prevent child sexual abuse and sexual assault. We also provide expert consultation to any child serving organizations interested in creating or improving their child protection policy.
