Local arts-based youth development program Living Out UR Dreams (LOUD) has created a series of public service announcement (PSA) videos written, performed and produced by high school students from the Beaufort area and supported by funding obtained in conjunction with Hope Haven. The videos address inequities in  South Carolina law regarding violence in teen dating relationships and same-sex relationships. We've embedded one of the videos below.

LOUD strives to meet the developmental needs of youth by building on their assets and potential, viewing young people as resources and creating partnerships with youth and their community to produce positive change. Through hands-on activities, mentoring, presentations and behind-the-scenes field trips, students discover the world of music, spoken word art and university life. Students are then challenged to create original work to be presented at various venues, and to create an original project for each semester.

Hope Haven congratulates theyoung men and women who worked on the PSAs and had the courage to stand up for what they believe in. Please support their efforts by viewing the PSAs and sharing them with your friends and family.
